Educational Qualifications

Secondary School Certificate: Candidates must possess a Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or its equivalent (NECO, WAEC, GCE) with at least five credits. These credits should include English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, obtained in not more than two sittings.

Age Requirement

Minimum Age: Applicants must be at least 17 years old at the time of admission. This age requirement ensures that students are mature enough to handle the rigors of nursing education and practice.

Entrance Examination

Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME): Candidates are required to sit for the UTME, conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). A good score in the UTME is crucial for securing admission.

Duration of Training

Nursing Program Duration: The general nursing program in Nigeria lasts for three years, leading to the award of a Registered Nurse (RN) certificate. This period includes both classroom instruction and clinical practice.

Accredited Nursing Schools
