2. Parts of the Female Reproductive System

External Parts:

Vulva: Includes the mons pubis, labia majora, labia minora, clitoris, and vaginal opening.

Labia Majora and Labia Minora: Folds of skin that protect the vaginal and urethral openings.

Internal Parts:

Ovaries: Glands that produce eggs (ova) and hormones such as estrogen and progesterone.
Fallopian Tubes: Tubes that transport eggs from the ovaries to the uterus; the site where fertilization usually occurs.
Uterus: The organ where a fertilized egg implants and develops during pregnancy.
Endometrium: The lining of the uterus that thickens during the menstrual cycle and is shed during menstruation if pregnancy does not occur.
Cervix: The lower part of the uterus that opens into the vagina.
Vagina: The muscular canal that connects the cervix to the external body, serving as the birth canal and the passageway for menstrual flow.

3. Drawing/Moulding and Labeling the Internal Parts

Activity: Drawing the Female Reproductive System

Materials: Paper, pencils, erasers, rulers, colored pencils.
Procedure:
1. Start with the external parts: draw the vulva, including the labia majora and labia minora.
2. Inside the pelvis, draw the ovaries on each side.
3. Extend the fallopian tubes from the ovaries to the uterus.
4. Draw the uterus and its layers, including the endometrium.
5. Add the cervix at the lower part of the uterus.
6. Draw the vagina extending from the cervix to the external opening.
7. Label each part clearly.

Procedure:
1. Mold the external parts, starting with the vulva and labia.
