Lesson Development

Step 1: Introduction (5 minutes)

Teacher’s Activities:

  • Greet the students and say a short prayer.
  • Ask students if they’ve ever heard of the Holy Spirit and what they know about Him.
  • Introduce the topic: The Coming of the Holy Spirit – The Day of Pentecost.

Step 2: Description of the Activities on the Day of Pentecost (10 minutes)

Teacher’s Explanation:

  • The Day of Pentecost occurred 50 days after the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
  • The disciples were gathered in one place (the upper room).
  • Suddenly, a sound like a mighty rushing wind filled the house.
  • Tongues of fire appeared and rested on each of them.
  • They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues.
  • People from different nations heard them speak in their own languages.
  • Some were amazed; others thought they were drunk.
