Is Formal Education?| Schooling A SCAM? | School Is NOT A Scam
Firstly: What is Education?
Education is the process of receiving or giving systematic instruction, especially at a school or university.
I get involved in a lot of intellectual activities one of them is disusing salient issues and topics that affect youth and the process of learning
Most recently, I have had a lot of complaint from students struggling with their academics while some feel education is the alpha and omega in life others believes education is a Scam.
Whether formal, informal, or self-education none is a scam, of course, self-education is paramount in knowledge acquisition but formal education is equally important which is why governments invest so much in it. By the way, if it is of no importance we want it be having this discussion
Now let’s focus on formal education
Funny enough, everyone thinks formal education is important until everybody learns to read and write.
Well, I do agree that higher education is not for everyone, not everyone wants to go college or study in a university but the system has put us under pressure such that we do not have the time to figure out what we really want.
That is why many do not understand its essence. The goal of education is to instill discipline, and broader knowledge to sustain human interaction and history and develop the mind sustainably.
So I do agree with you that our system of education is flawed. Almost everything is not working except a few.
I believe these tips will help you get the most education.
- Find something you are passionate about
- Do many things differently
- Networking and joining communities
- Appreciate and pray for your teachers
- Manage your time well
Conclusively
Education is not a Scam, the system is the Scam, your teachers are frustrated as you are, join teachers are as frustrated as you are, join forces with them to fix the system and we will all be fine.
Thanks!
