(OAUSTECH) Was Established by the Ondo State government in 2008, Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH), Okitipupa, formerly known as Ondo State University of Science and Technology (OSUSTECH), has been a pivotal institution in the technological and industrial advancement of both Ondo State and Nigeria at large.

In 2019, a significant milestone was marked with the renaming of the university to Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH), reflecting its commitment to technological innovation and development. The university’s core mission remains focused on providing comprehensive manpower training to meet the evolving needs of industries and technology sectors.

Currently, OAUSTECH offers a range of academic programs spanning Science, Engineering and Engineering Technology, Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources, as well as Postgraduate Studies. Moreover, the institution has received approval for the establishment of two new faculties from the Governing Council, pending final authorization from the National Universities Commission (NUC) after resource verification.

In line with its vision to continually expand its academic offerings and research capabilities, OAUSTECH has proposed the establishment of four new centers, awaiting approval from the Senate. These centers are poised to play crucial roles in various domains, including Geospatial Science and Technology, Blue Economy and Innovation, Business Technology, and Maritime Transport and Logistics, along with Environmental, Climate Change, and Marine Studies. These endeavors underscore the university’s commitment to fostering innovation, research, and development in key areas crucial for the sustainable growth and prosperity of the region and the nation as a whole.
