Great care should be taken to ensure that the information given below does not reach the candidates either directly or indirectly before the examination.
INSTRUCTIONS TO SCHOOLS
Each candidate should be instructed to bring to the examination room: (a) sharpened drawing pencils (preferably 2B) at least I5 cm long:
- Each candidate should be provided with the following specimens.
Specimen A: Gill of fish (freshly procured)
Specimen B: Whole liver from a domestic fowl with gall bladder attached, in a Petri dish (freshly procured)
Specimen C: Lungs froma domestic fowl on a white tile (freshly procured)
Specimen D: Whole gizzard from a domestic fowl, in a Petri dish (freshly procured)
Specimen E: Whole intestine from a domestic fowl spread in a tray (freshly procured)
Specimen F: Ginger rhizome (fresh)
Specimen G: Onion bulb
Specimen H: Lcaf of Bryophyllunm (with adventitious roots)
Specimen J: Cassava stem
Specimen K: Cassava tuber
Specimen L: Thoracic vertebra
Specimen M: Humerus bone
Specimen N: Mango seed (dry)
Specimen P: Femur bone
Specimen Q: Lumbar vertebra
Specimen R: Orange seeds (dry) WAEC
NB: (i) All specimens can be provided as group specimens for five (5) to ten (10) candidates.
(ii) All specimens must carry indi idual labels (e.g. A, B, C, D, E. E. G. H. J. K, L. M, N. P. Q and R) (b) It is cssential that each candidate should he provided with the following materials: (i) a hand lens/magnifying lets: (1) red litmus paper (one fior each candidate): (iii) blue litmus paper (one ior each candidate): (iv) office pin (one for each candidate: (v) tissue paper/toilet roll.
